Cleaning Your House Will Improve Your Inspiration
Change your environment to change your world
I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the kitchen to get some water.
The best realizations sometimes come with insignificant actions.
Can you picture an elephant in a pottery shop? That’s me when I do a zombie walk in the middle of the night. My center of gravity is moved forward, and I am like a bulldozer rampaging over everything I find on my way.
I live in a funny house. The previous owners filled it with separation walls to create different spaces. It’s pretentious for such a tiny apartment.
The kitchen is less than 2 meters from the bedroom (4.5ft), and yet I have a gymkhana to get there.
Like those evil airport mazes that make us walk miles in a short distance to reach the counter, I have a route full of adventures in only 4 feet: Bedroom door — corridor and right — living room door — turn left — kitchen door — left to the counter.
The sleepy me knocks every.single.wall.and.door in the way.
But last week I had some extra fun. We had bags on the floor. The kitchen counter was full of dirty plates and glasses. I hit myself with pointy things, threw things to the floor, and broke things.
